About us

The International Karate Union Bangladesh (IKUBD) was founded to promote and develop Karate-do in the Republic of Bangladesh, which All style of Karate-do founded by some of the most respected Karateka with a great karate history and associations of Karate organization of Bangladesh in 2015.

Abdullah Al Mamun is the general secretary of international karate Union Bangladesh and he is the country representative of World karate-jitsu Federation. (WKJF) he is also country representative & vice president of Asian United World karate Federation (UWKF) & International shitoryu Karate do Kenshikai kenshikan(ISKK).he is also the member of WKO &lifetime member UFKKWA.


IKUBD only country sole authority representatives/affiliated member to the International Karate Union (IKU) since 2015. The object aimed of IKUBD, Earnestly trying heart and soul keen to promote, development and popularity to Karate-do in Bangladesh.
IKUBD conducted training in the Honbu Dojo at BIAM School Math of Bangladesh in Dhaka as well as Uttara Dojo, Sanarpar and also several districts & Divisional Dojo of Bangladesh. IKUBD conducted special / technical training seminar / upgrading and yearly National Karate-do Championships.
To represent of IKUBD also participated in the international technical Seminar, Dan Grading, and Referee Seminer/Clinic & Championships of National & International.

Five Rules to Train By

Listening creates reflexes. It is not necessarily the words but the vibration of the command. Balance, keep your weight centered. Posture, not just yours but learning how to read your opponent. Coordination, make your hands and feet become one. Self confidence, I can do this in a matter of time. Knowing you can do it even though you never have before.The IKU Bangladesh Karate Academy will provide a safe and friendly environment for children, young people and adults to learn Karate. The IKU Bangladesh Karate Academy will raise standards of achievement in Karate and education for all its students across the ability range. It will be a regional focus for excellence in the sport of Karate, extending links between its family of clubs, sports bodies and the local community.

International Participation

We participate international karate events. Here are some sample of our glorious past. Our Instructor also participate in the International Events.“We have come so far in such a short space of time and I am proud to see Karate enjoying such a golden era in 2017 and beyond. Now that we move into 2018, we get even closer to Tokyo 2020; it means that we must continue working hard to open new horizons for our sport.
